Devil May Cry
In the original story of Devil May Cry, Dante started mercenary work under the Alias of Tony Redgrave. Closely drawn to his roots however, he started a new business venture thats closer to his area of expertise. Devil hunting and paranormal investigation. For a normal human being this line of profession its very dangerous, but for Dante being half-demon himself it's his bread and butter. He hopes that with each new lead will guide him closer to avenging the death of his mother and brother.
Devil Ate Pie
In this parody iteration of the story Dante inherits the normal family business life of baking pies with his brother until his brother sold it to a company that went bankrupt. After the tragedy with his family Dante went his own way putting his hate and anger into a new line of business, hunting demons. Sadly enough demon sightings is rare and doesn't keep the bills paid so Dante started his own bakery from scratch that consistutes as his dayjob. However, he does something that no one else does with their pastries that has his competition beat. He harvest fresh ingredients from the monsters he hunts.
